Young people in North East Lincolnshire are being given the chance to let their creative juices loose and take part in a competition to reduce loneliness and isolation.

Youngsters aged between 11 and 25 can take part in the Creative Connections competition, and can submit entries in the form of creative writing, photography, art or digital.

We are asking young people to share their perspectives on loneliness and isolation and the importance of connection through creative writing, art or photography .

There are some impressive prizes on offer. The winning entry will have the opportunity to get their work published by project partners, Hammond House Publishing. Many of the entries will be published as part of an anthology as well as elsewhere online.

Hammond House is a community organisation dedicated to supporting and developing creative people across all areas of arts and culture.

The competition runs from 1 March and submissions must be completed by 31 March 2021.

For more information on the competition and to complete an entry form, visit: http://www.nelincs.gov.uk/yourvoice.

Creative Connections is a competition organised locally by young people from the Youth Action group as part of a Young Advisors lottery funded project #TheTogetherProject. This funding is being used to carry out different projects to reduce loneliness and isolation across England by other Young Advisors Projects.
