Following our previous press release dated 17 October regarding an Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) being declared across Great Britain, there will be a national housing order for all poultry and captive birds coming into force from 7 November.

The housing measures legally require all bird keepers to keep their birds indoors and to follow stringent biosecurity measures.

There have still not been any local cases reported to North East Lincolnshire Council’s Trading Standards team.
