Nearly 250 people have already signed up to play the Winsby Community Lottery, launched earlier this year, with almost £14,000 already earmarked for good causes in the area as a result.

The next draw takes place on Saturday 22 May 2021, with 60p from every £1 ticket going to local charities and good causes.

With nearly 30 local charities and good causes already registered with the site, there’s plenty of options for you when it comes to choosing a charity to support.

Players have a 50 to one chance of winning one of the prizes, which range from the £25,000 jackpot to three extra tickets.

Cllr Stan Shreeve, Cabinet member for finance, said: “We launched the lottery to our local good causes earlier this year, and it’s great that we’ve already had a good number join in. This is open and free to all good causes and charities in the borough, and takes just a few minutes to sign up.

“Lottery players can choose which charity to support, and can even donate their winnings to the charity if they want to.”

On signing up, local good causes receive a marketing pack, free of charge, for them to use to promote their organisation taking part.
