Bins, waste and recycling

North East Lincolnshire Council is reminding people that their household waste and recycling collections continue as normal as we head into the August bank holiday weekend.

Waste and recycling collections, including garden waste, will take place as usual on Monday 29 August.

Please look out for your neighbours and remind them if they forget to put their bins out.

Check your collection dates online at www.nelincs.gov.uk/bins.

Grimsby and Immingham Tips open as usual

The award-winning Grimsby and Immingham Community Recycling Centres, also know as the CRCs or tips, are also open as usual for the bank holiday weekend.

Both sites are open from 8am to 6pm everyday except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Restrictions that meant mattresses had to be booked in advance were lifted some months ago. There is no need to call in advance if you are taking a mattress to the site.

Visitors using commercial, large vehicles or trailers should register before visiting.

CRC staff have given the sites a junk modelling makeover and recently won Best Civic Amenity Site of the Year at the awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management.
