Public bridleway closure in Brigsley

11:15 am, Tuesday, 3rd August 2021 - 3 years ago

General

North East Lincolnshire Council and its regeneration partner, ENGIE, will be temporarily closing Bridleway 80, between Green Lane and Waithe Lane, in Brigsley for improvement works from Monday 16 August.

The works are planned to take three weeks to complete and will include the construction of a new surface for the bridleway and a number of drainage improvements.

To allow the improvements to take place, the bridleway will be closed to the public while the works are carried out.

A new drainage connection will also be installed across the carriageway on Waithe Lane. To carry out this part of the works, a full 24-hour road closure will be in place on Waithe Lane, near to the junction with Church Lane, for one week from Monday 16 August.

Advanced warning signs and a signed diversion route will be in place during the closure. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.

Nearby residents have been informed about the works.

The dates are subject to change as the works are dependent on the weather.

North East Lincolnshire Council, ENGIE and the contractor, Specialist Surfacing Ltd, would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by these improvements.
