Want to give up smoking, but can’t do it alone? If the usual stop smoking products such as Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and vape don’t seem to work for you, a prescribed medication designed to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms has been introduced to North East Lincolnshire.
Varenicline works by reducing cravings and withdrawal symptoms, making it easier for smokers to quit successfully. Evidence shows that the medication significantly increases quit rates compared to willpower alone or NRT. You can self-refer to the council’s stop smoking service and a chat will be held with a wellbeing worker to discuss the right treatment path for you.
You’re three times more likely to quit for good with the support of our free stop smoking service.
