Works are progressing well on Welholme Road, where road patching repairs are underway.

The failed road surface was first identified during a routine inspection by the highways team. Initially, repairs were planned to cover around 10 square metres of road. However, following further inspections to maximise the traffic management and prevent return visits, it was decided to extend the repair area to 60 square metres to include additional defective areas. This wider repair will help prevent further deterioration during the winter months.
The highways team is working closely with the contractor and carrying out inspections at key stages of the repair process to assess the condition of the underlying road structure and help identify what caused the road surface to fail.
The works are taking place between 9am and 3pm to minimise disruption to residents and road users. They are expected to be completed by Friday 16 October.
