General

All children born between 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017 will be eligible to start infant / primary school in September 2021. The application process has now opened.

All information on how to apply is available on the North East Lincolnshire Council website and has been issued to all nurseries and early years providers in North East Lincolnshire to display on their websites. The closing date for applications is Friday 15th January 2021.

Parents/carers can apply online for a school place; online applications can be made using the “Apply for it” link on the home page of North East Lincolnshire Council’s website: www.nelincs.gov.uk.

Application forms, guidance and associated information are available on the School Admissions webpage (search “Apply for a school place” on the council website).

Due to the current restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, parents and carers are advised to apply online wherever possible, however those who are unable to do so can request a paper application form from their child’s nursery or from the School Admissions Team.

Paper forms can be returned to the School Admissions Team, Civic Offices, Knoll Street, Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire, DN35 8LN.

Please note that some nurseries are currently not allowing children to take letters home or bring forms back into school. Therefore, you are advised to check your child’s nursery website for information on the application process.

Primary school places will be allocated on Friday 16th April 2021 for all applications which are received by the closing date, Friday 15th January 2021.

The local authority’s School Admission Team is available to offer impartial advice and guidance to parents/carers via email at [email protected] or by telephone: (01472) 326291 (option 4).
