Starting School for the First Time – September 2022

All children born between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2018 will be eligible to start infant/primary school in September 2022. The application process has now opened.

All information on how to apply is available on the North East Lincolnshire Council website and has been issued to all nurseries and early years providers in North East Lincolnshire to display on their websites. The closing date for applications is Saturday 15 January 2022.

Parents/carers can apply online for a school place; online applications can be made using the “Apply for it” link on the home page of North East Lincolnshire Council’s website at www.nelincs.gov.uk.  Application forms, guidance and associated information are available on the School Admissions webpage (search “Apply for a school place” on the council website).

Parents/carers are advised to apply online wherever possible as receipt can be quickly confirmed directly with the School Admissions team. Those who are unable to apply online can request a paper application form from their child’s nursery or from the School Admissions Team. Paper forms can be returned by post to the School Admissions Team, Civic Offices, Knoll Street, Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire, DN35 8LN.

Primary school places will be allocated on 19 April 2022 for all applications which are received by the closing date, 15 January 2022.
