THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(a)

STATION ROAD, NEW WALTHAM (SEGREGATED SHARED USE CYCLEWAY / FOOTWAY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 22-115) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council have made, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any pedestrian or cycle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

  • A section of STATION ROAD (NEW WALTHAM) CYCLEWAY / FOOTWAY – Part Length of the footway from a point 50 metres east of the TOLLBAR ROUNDABOUT JUNCTION to a point 150 metres east of the TOLLBAR ROUNDABOUT JUNCTION.

Alternative route: Pedestrians to temporarily share the cycleway element of the shared facility, alongside the works area.

Cyclists must dismount on approach to the works area and not recommence riding until they have passed the end point of the works, to safeguard all road users.

This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by Cadent Gas.  These works are detailed as gas connection works.

The Order will come into operation on Monday, 05 September 2022, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Wednesday, 07 September 2022.  Definitive dates and times will be notified by on-site advanced warning signs.

The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
