THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(a)

B1203 WALTHAM ROAD, SPRINGFIELD ROAD & GATE LANE, SCARTHO

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 22-118) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council have made, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

  • A section of B1203 WALTHAM ROAD (SOUTHBOUND CARRIAGEWAY LANES ONLY) – Part Length from its roundabout junction with SCARTHO ROAD / A1243 LOUTH ROAD to its junction with SPRINGFIELD ROAD.

Alternative route: A1243 LOUTH ROAD, A16, B1219 STATION ROAD, B1203 GRIMSBY ROAD, B1203 WALTHAM ROAD

  • A section of SPRINGFIELD ROAD (EASTBOUND CARRIAGEWAY LANES ONLY) – Part Length from its junction with MENDIP AVENUE to its junction with B1203 WALTHAM ROAD.

Alternative route: MENDIP AVENUE, B1203 WALTHAM ROAD

  • GATE LANE – Full Extent, from its junction with B1203 WALTHAM ROAD to its junction with PINFOLD LANE.

Alternative route: A1243 LOUTH ROAD, PINFOLD LANE

This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by Northern Powergrid.  These works are detailed as the reinforcement of Northern Powergrid’s network to accommodate additional demand generated by various new housing developments in the surrounding area.

The Order will come into operation on Monday, 31 October 2022, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Monday, 19 December 2022.  Definitive dates and times will be notified by on-site advanced warning signs.

The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
