ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(a)
A1243 SCARTHO ROAD, GRIMSBY (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 23-102) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, from PROCEEDING along on the below sections of highway:
- A section of A1243 SCARTHO ROAD- Part length from the junction of CRAGSTON AVENUE heading in a southerly direction to the junction roundabout of A1243 SCARTHO ROAD
Alternative route: A1243 Scartho Road, Laceby Road Roundabout, A1243 Bargate, A46 Weelsby Road, A16 Peaks Parkway, A1243 Louth Road (Reverse route applies)
This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by EQUANS. These works are detailed as carriageway resurfacing and road markings.
These works will take place overnight between 7pm and 6am.
The Order will come into operation on Wednesday, 23 August 2023, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Saturday, 26 August 2023. Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.
