A180 PYEWIPE, GRIMSBY (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 23-180) ORDER 2023


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, pedestrian or cycle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

  • A180 PYEWIPE FULL EXTENT – from the roundabout junction of A180 PYEWIPE ROUNDABOUT heading in a easterly direction to the roundabout junction of A180 WESTGATE.

Alternative route: Gilbey Road, Moody Lane (Reverse route applies)

  • A180 WESTGATE FULL EXTENT – from the roundabout junction of A180 WESTGATE ROUNDABOUT heading in a easterly direction to the roundabout junction of A180 LOCKHILL.

Alternative route: A16 victoria street North, A16 Victoria Street South, A16 Peaks Parkway, A46 Weelsby Road, A46 Laceby Road, B1444 Little Coates Road, A1136 Yarborough Road, Boulevard Avenue (reverse route applies)

  • A180 LOCKHILL FULL EXTENT – from the roundabout junction of A180 LOCKHILL heading in a easterly direction to the junction of FREEMAN STREET.

Alternative route: B1213 Freeman Street, A1136 Ellis Way, A16 victoria street south, A16 victoria street north.

This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by NELC. These works are detailed as the NELC Major Highways Scheme.

The Order will come into operation on Wednesday, 28 February 2024, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Thursday, 31 October 2024. Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.

The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
