ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
A1031 HUMBERSTON ROAD, CLEETHORPES (TEMPORARY SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION – TTRO 23-191) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be:
a) to temporarily revoke a section of the existing 40mph speed limit in place along the below sections of highway, thereby reverting those lengths of road back to Restricted Roads and a 30mph speed limit by virtue of a system of street lighting:
- A section of A1031 HUMBERSTON ROAD – Part length from the junction of ASHRIDGE DRIVE heading in a south easterly direction to the junction of BRIAN AVENUE.
b) that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to travel along those lengths of Restricted Road detailed above at a speed in excess of 30mph.
The temporary extension to the 30mph speed limit is required to reduce the speed of traffic travelling along the route whilst works are undertaken on a proposed housing development.
The Order will come into operation on Monday, 26 February 2024, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport. The temporary speed limit is expected to remain in place until Tuesday, 26 August 2025.
