ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(a)
VICTORIA STREET PEDESTRIAN ZONE, GRIMSBY (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 25-018) ORDER 2025
A) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that:
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF TWO WAY TRAFFIC FLOW – ONE WAY DIRECTION OF TRAVEL (NORTH-WESTERN DIRECTION ONLY) – no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle or cycle from PROCEEDING along OLD MARKET PLACE, GRIMSBY in a south-easterly direction – the full extent.
TEMPORARY SUSPENSIONOF TWO WAY TRAFFIC FLOW – ONE WAY DIRECTION OF TRAVEL (NORTH EASTERLY DIRECTION ONLY) no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle or cycle from PROCEEDING along VICTORIA STREET, GRIMSBY in a north-easterly direction – the full extent
TEMPORARY REVERSAL OF ONE WAY DIRECTION OF TRAVEL (NORTH EASTERLY DIRECTION ONLY) no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle or cycle from PROCEEDING along VICTORIA STREET WEST, GRIMSBY in a south-westerly direction from the junction of EAST ST MARY’S GATE to the junction of GEORGE STREET.
This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by multiple agencies. These works are detailed as multiple works as part of the Freshney Place regeneration.
The Order will come into operation on Monday, 17 February 2025, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Monday, 17 August 2026. Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.
The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
