From free range meat, a selection of cheeses, classic frankfurter hot dogs, pies, and sweet treats, there’s plenty to indulge yourself with at Grimsby Farmer’s and Craft Market.

The outdoor market in Victoria Street takes place on the third Friday of every month from 9am to 3pm, with the next market taking place on Friday 21 May.

The popular market set in the heart of Grimsby Town Centre offers locally sourced, essential produce including cheese, donuts, cakes and meat to name a few.

Widely known for their foodie finds, the market traders are passionate locals heavily involved in the production of the goods they sell, whether it be making, growing, or rearing it.

The market has remained open throughout the lockdown, with a reduced number of stalls, providing essential produce for the local community, but is now back with all stallholders returning.

Attending the market are the following businesses:

  • Redhill Farm – free range pork
  • FW Read & Sons – cheese and dairy selection
  • Pie-o-neers – selection of freshly made pies
  • Fresh and Delicious – classic frankfurter hot dogs
  • Sweet Treats Catering – hot drinks, donuts and candyfloss
  • Deadly Bakes – home-made sweet treats bakery
  • East End Nurseries Ltd – strawberries (seasonal)

There is also an offer available to local businesses, new to the market, who are looking to expand or who have recently set up or started their own business and want to give it a try and promote themselves as we follow the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown.

Councillor Stan Shreeve, portfolio holder for finance, resources and assets, said: “If you’re a business owner, then Grimsby Farmer’s and Craft Market could be the place for you to give your trade a boost.

“We understand the effects the pandemic has had on local businesses and that is why we’re offering a fantastic deal to new outdoor traders, for those who cannot commit to a long-term contract.”

New traders will be offered a ‘buy one get one free’ offer for the first eight months trading, providing an ideal opportunity to trial or grow their business. Traders will pay for a month, then get the next month free, for a period of eight months.

The market is managed by North East Lincolnshire Council’s regeneration partner, ENGIE.
