People and organisations wishing to lay their wreaths at this year’s Remembrance Day services at Grimsby and Cleethorpes cenotaphs are being asked to let the organisers know ahead of time.

The services this year will be held on Sunday 13 November.

Cllr Philip Jackson, leader of North East Lincolnshire, said: “It’s important that we remember our service men and women who have lost their lives through duty and service to the crown.

“A key part of the annual remembrance service is always the laying of wreaths, which has been done for many, many years by organisations and individuals across the Borough, as they pay their respects in their own way, and this will help us organise that.”

If you, or your organisation would like to lay a wreath this year, please visit www.nelincs.gov.uk, and under the “Apply for it” heading, look for Events and then the link to apply is listed below. Wreaths should be provided by the organisation applying.

Applications are welcome until 12 noon on Friday 11 November.
