A by-election for Ashby Cum Fenby Parish Council has been requested in response to a Casual Vacancy Notice.  There are six vacant seats. The by-election will be held on 6th August 2026.

Count

If the poll is contested, the verification and count of all ballot papers will take place at the conclusion of the poll from 10pm onwards on 6th August. 


Absent votes

If you require a Postal Vote for the election on 6th August, the application must be received by the elections team no later than 5pm Wednesday 22nd July 2026.

Proxy vote application forms must be received by the election’s office by no later 5pm on Wednesday 29th July 2026.

Please note that if you currently have a postal vote and would prefer a proxy vote instead, your postal vote must be cancelled before 22nd July at 5pm. Your proxy voter must be on the electoral register, able to vote in these elections and will be required to cast your vote at your normal polling station.

Voter Authority Certificates applications must be received by the elections office by no later than 5pm on the Wednesday 29th July.

Please note that if your application is received after this time, it will not be processed until 7th August. If you have received confirmation for a Voter Authority Certificate before 5pm 29th July but have not received your certificate by election day please contact the office on 01472 324160.
