North East Lincolnshire Council has teamed up with East Marsh United and R-Evolution to launch an exciting new community initiative aimed at getting East Marsh residents more active with their bikes!

The Rutland Street Community Project kicks off on Thursday 18 September at Grant Thorald Park, running every Thursday from 12:30pm to 4:30pm.

Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just curious, there’s something for everyone:

  • Guided bike tours
  • Free bike safety checks and mobile repairs
  • Bike mechanic training for those who want to learn
  • Free bike lights to keep you safe
  • Bike giveaway competition – don’t miss your chance to win!

This project is all about making cycling accessible, fun, and safe for everyone in the East Marsh area. Thanks to funding from the Active Travel England Capability Fund, we’re helping people get their bikes road-ready and encouraging healthier, more active lifestyles.

So grab your bike and join us for a fun, friendly afternoon in the park. Let’s ride together, learn together, and build a stronger, more active community.
