North East Lincolnshire Council has appointed a partnership of Turning Point, Double Impact and Framework to deliver its community drug and alcohol treatment services.
The newly-named North East Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership (NELRP) will launch on February 2nd and provide a free and confidential service for adults and young people who would like support with their drug and alcohol use.
The three organisations will provide one service with one brand and identity that draws on the specialisms of each of the partners who already deliver drug and alcohol services in neighbouring Lincolnshire.
Turning Point will use their expertise from delivering drug and alcohol services across 18 other local authorities in England to lead on clinical services and substance use treatment for adults and young people in North East Lincolnshire.
Framework, who has been providing accommodation and support for homeless and vulnerable people across Lincolnshire since 2011, will lead on the delivery of criminal justice and outreach services.
Double Impact, a Lived Experience Recovery Organisation (LERO), will provide recovery support, employment support and utilise the experience and knowledge of people with lived experience in the development of the new service.
There will be a dedicated young people’s service named Inspiring Futures that will offer confidential support, information, and advice about drugs or alcohol.
The service is proud to work in close partnership with Creative Start Arts in Health CIC, utilising creativity, community, and abstinence‑based recovery support to help people rebuild their lives through art, connection, and purposeful spaces.
The service plans to work with a range of stakeholders across North East Lincolnshire together to provide a joined-up service where people can access support for various needs.
There will be a range of satellite sites and co-located delivery that will offer localised services to support people’s ongoing recovery and will also operate a mobile clinical van which will enable the team to provide services to some of the more isolated communities.
Cllr Stan Shreeve for Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care, said:
“I’m really pleased that we’ve been able to work with Turning Point, Double Impact and Framework to develop this partnership.
“We know that, much like other parts of the country, we have a number of residents who struggle with drug and alcohol use and addiction.
“Getting the right support at the right time is vital, and I know that this new partnership will offer local people a fantastic service with a range of approaches.
“In short, if you are struggling with drug or alcohol use, we are here to support you.”
Christine Hutchinson, Turning Point Regional Head of Operations, said:
“We are delighted to have been awarded this contract by North East Lincolnshire Council.
“North East Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership will embrace the expertise of each of its partners to deliver a service that supports people every step of the way on their journey to make positive changes to their lives, reconnect with society and give them pathways to training, education and employment.
“We will ensure that people are offered an expanded range of support to recover from the harm that can be caused through drug and alcohol use. Tackling these issues head on will improve the lives of people across North East Lincolnshire.”
