Consultation and Engagement

North East Lincolnshire Council are developing an updated strategy looking at homelessness and rough sleeping.

Each local authority is required by law to have a homelessness strategy in place which must be updated every five years.

The strategy has been written in draft to focus on five key areas:

  • Prevent homelessness wherever possible
  • Reduce rough sleeping, with the aim towards ending it completely
  • Ensure access to suitable housing and support for everyone in North East Lincolnshire
  • Use local data to plan services and predict demands
  • Strengthen relationships with local partners to work together better to improve outcomes for those facing homelessness.

You are now being asked for your opinion the strategy. Your opinion will shape what is included, how services are planned and who is supported. This will help build a shared vision to prevent homelessness and reduce rough sleeping in North East Lincolnshire.

The Housing and Homelessness Prevention team are hosting several stakeholder consultation events across North East Lincolnshire to gain insight and views on the strategy.
