Following a new offer to traders, Grimsby Top Town Market has welcomed three new businesses to the market hall.

Local holistic businesses Sensual Oils and 13 Moons have moved into the indoor market.

Also joining the market is Upsa Daisy who will be trading every Friday and Saturday selling seeds, flowers and plants ahead of the growing season.

Suzan Holmes from Sensual Oils said: “I’ve been working on markets for around eight years now and I love every minute of it. The products are always good quality, and the stalls are so unique. Tenants at Top Town Market are like a family and I am pleased to be a part of that.

“Sensual Oils works with people helping with readings and reiki, as well as selling gothic clothing and collector goods, so there is plenty to choose from.”

Debra Jones from 13 Moons said: “I am very pleased to be getting back to business now that restrictions have been lifted. The new trader offer has meant I can join the market with ease, and during these uncertain times, it allows me to adapt my business where necessary, which is very reassuring.”

Councillor Stan Shreeve, portfolio holder for finance, resources and assets, said: “We recognise that small local businesses have been affected greatly by the pandemic and realise that flexibility is really important at the moment.

“That is why, in order to support local businesses, the market is offering a fantastic discount to new traders as well as flexible terms and conditions for those who cannot commit to a long-term contract.”

The current offer for new traders includes:

  • Licence fee reduction on a stall until 30 September 2021
  • Stall prices which start from £35 per week (including the discount)
  • Option to pay weekly
  • Flexible licence agreements – easy in, easy out
  • A two-week notice period
  • COVID-Secure trading

The market is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, between 9am and 4pm.

The market is managed by North East Lincolnshire Council’s regeneration partner, ENGIE.
