Works to Grade II listed structure, Corporation Road Bridge, have been progressing.

The steel work repairs are ongoing to both sides of the bridge deck. Whilst painting works continue, works to refurbish the control room are also making good progress, with restoration to timbers, window preparations and external panelling all well underway. Insulation works and roof repairs are also in progress.

To continue the mechanical preparation works to the underdeck of the bridge, weekend working is required due to expected low tidal levels. Footpath closures are also required whilst works are undertaken adjacent to public areas to ensure the safety of both the public and the contractor.

Footpath closures will take place between 9am and 4pm each weekday. The footway will remain open during the weekend working dates. Temporary signs will be in place for the footway closures.

June 2024 weekend working and footway closure dates:

  • Wednesday 5 June – footpath closure
  • Thursday 6 June – footpath closure
  • Tuesday 11 June – footpath closure
  • Wednesday 19 June – footpath closure
  • Thursday 20 June – footpath closure
  • Wednesday 26 June – footpath closure
  • Weekend working is planned for the 1,2, 15 and 16 June.

North East Lincolnshire Council, its delivery partner, Equans and contractor Spencer Group would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the work is being undertaken.
