Consultation on admission arrangements – Academic year 2027 to 2028
North East Lincolnshire Local Authority is the admission authority for North East Lincolnshire’s community and voluntary controlled primary schools. There are no community or voluntary controlled secondary schools in North East Lincolnshire. The admission authority for the remaining primary academies and all of the secondary academies are the governors of the respective academy.
Between the 1 October 2025 and 31 January 2026 all admission authorities have to consult for a period of 6 weeks on any changes to their proposed admission arrangements or any proposed decrease in their published admission number (PAN) for the academic year 2027-2028. Admission authorities do not have to consult on proposed increases to their PAN.
Admission Authorities must consult at least once every 7 years on their admission arrangements even if there have been no changes.
After the close of the consultation period, all of the admission authorities must take account of any responses received and determine their final admission arrangements by 28 February 2026.
North East Lincolnshire Local Authority is consulting on a proposal to reduce the published admission number (PAN) for Western Primary School from 45 to 30 pupils for the academic year of entry 2027-2028.
The consultation will run from 10 November 2025 to 12 January 2026. Responses are invited directly to the school office by email to [email protected], or by phone to 01472 311550.

North East Lincolnshire Local Authority is not otherwise proposing to make any changes to the general admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools, and those academies who follow this policy.
For those academies that have asked us to consult on their behalf their proposed documentation will be attached below. Any comments regarding these proposed changes should be made directly to the respective academy or academy trust.
Lisle Marsden Church of England Primary Academy are consulting on their admission policy as per statutory duty to do so every 7 years however, no substantive changes have been proposed.

Macaulay Primary Academy are consulting on a proposal to reduce their PAN from 75 to 60 pupils for the academic year of entry in September 2027. There is no other proposed change to their existing admission arrangements, which follows the North East Lincolnshire Local Authority policy.

The David Ross Education Trust are consulting on the admission policies for their academies in North East Lincolnshire as per statutory duty to do so every 7 years however, no substantive changes have been proposed.

What next?
The School Admissions Code states that all school admission arrangements and policies must be determined by 28 February 2026 and published by 15 March 2026. Each policy will be published on this website as soon as it has been received by the School Admissions Team.
