Coronavirus (Covid-19) – Taking care of your mental wellbeing

It’s ok to feel anxious about the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak as we know it can have health, social and financial impacts on lots of us. Being worried at this time is normal and that’s why we need to be aware of our mental & physical wellbeing as well as knowing where to go for reliable information & support.

There are lot’s things we can do to help look after our mental health and wellbeing, including those of us who are working from home and/or self-isolating. Take a look at the following links for some helpful tips:

Staying at home and minimising direct contact with others under guidance from the government will reduce social contact for many of us, and in some cases will mean we’re cut off from all contact for two weeks or longer. This could leave you feeling low, which is something we’d really encourage you to talk about with friends and family, via video messaging, over the phone, texting or over the garden fence. If you find yourself struggling to cope or even experiencing suicidal thoughts, you are not alone.
