Restoration works to Grade II listed structure, Corporation Road Bridge, are progressing.
Grit blasting is continuing on both the sub and superstructure of spans three and four of the bridge. Essential scaffolding and encapsulation works are also being undertaken to the remaining areas of the bridge.
To progress the scaffolding works further, another footpath closure is required to ensure the safety of the public and those working on site. The footpath on the bridge will be closed to all pedestrians and cyclists on Wednesday 15 November and Thursday 16 November, between 9am and 4pm.
Contractor, Spencer Group, will also be working several weekends between now and the end of December to take advantage of low tides and allowing them access to the underside of the bridge. The footpath will be open during the weekend working unless notified otherwise. Temporary advance signs for any footpath closures will be erected.
