Apply for Apprenticeship Levy Transfer
Are you employing an apprentice? Do you need to upskill any employees? Would you like your apprenticeship qualification funding?
If the answer is yes to any of these questions then take advantage of the funding available to train an apprentice.
Apprenticeship Levy Transfer Scheme
The Apprenticeship Levy was introduced to help develop vocational skills and increase the quantity and quality of apprenticeships. Each year the Council has the opportunity to access Apprenticeship Levy funding, but we are not always able to use it all.
The Apprenticeship Levy Transfer Scheme allows us to share some of the funding we have not spent to support local businesses.

How levy transfers help other organisations

Katy Steel: – Pictured on the left
I am nearing completion of the social work apprenticeship and it has been an excellent opportunity for me to complete my social work degree and gain my qualification. The apprenticeship, unlike traditional university degrees, has given me the ability to learn throughout the whole duration and this has been promoted further by consistent support from my employer. I would recommend this pathway to anybody wanting to kickstart a new career

The social work apprenticeship has provided me with the opportunity to work in different teams within the social work sector and gain new skills and experiences. It is the perfect way of gaining an academic qualification whilst working within the sector.
