Three final overnight closures planned this week will mark the completion of major carriageway and footway reconstruction works on the key route.

Following positive progress made in recent weeks, the contractor is ahead of schedule and has been in constant liaison with affected businesses. Weather permitting, the contractor will be carrying out the final resurfacing works later this week.

On Wednesday 3 February, between 7pm and 6am, an overnight closure will be in place on Estate Road 2 between Pyewipe roundabout and Estate Road 6.

This will be followed by a further closure between Estate Road 6 and Estate Road 5 on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 February, again between 7pm and 6am.

These closures will allow for the final resurfacing and lining works to take place, which will mark the end of the scheme.

During the closure, a signed diversion route will be in place and advanced warning notices will be displayed. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

The project team and contractor have informed all nearby businesses of the works and liaised to minimise any potential impacts where possible.

North East Lincolnshire Council’s regeneration partner, ENGIE, are managing and overseeing the scheme with contractor, EC Surfacing Ltd, carrying out the improvements.
