Five Year Housing Land Supply Assessment

The Council is required by National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) to identify and update annually a supply of specific deliverable sites sufficient to provide five years’ worth of housing against its housing requirements.

The latest Five Year Housing Land Supply Assessment (PDF, 454KB) updates the calculation of the Council’s land supply to the 2024 document to accord with the results of the revised standard method for calculating local housing need, released by Government on 12 December 2024.

It covers the five year period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2029 and concludes that the Council can now only identify 4.1 years supply.
