Missed collections
Bin crews can’t empty your bin if they are:
- Not out for collection – bins must be outside your property or at the agreed collection point before 7am
- Overflowing – don’t put any extra rubbish out with your bin because it won’t be taken
- Too heavy
- Contaminated with the wrong rubbish or recycling
- Unable to be collected because a vehicle has blocked access
Before you report a missed collection…
- Were your bins outside your property boundary/agreed collection point before 7am on collection day?
- Were the correct items placed in the correct bin?
- Was your bin not overfilled or too heavy to be collected safely?
Missed collections can only be reported after 2:30pm on the scheduled day of collection or before 12pm the following day.
We review all reported missed collections and if your bins were found to be missed for a reason, crews will not return until your next collection date.
Please take your bins back in as soon as possible so they do not block the streets and highways.
