A1173 MANBY ROAD, IMMINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND TEMPORARY SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION – TTRO 23-192) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, pedestrian or cycle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway otherwise in a south easterly direction:

a) A section of A1173 Manby Road – part length from the junction roundabout of MANBY ROAD ROUNDABOUT heading in a south easterly direction to the property of A P M COMMERCIALS.

b) to formally introduce a 30mph speed limit on the below section of highway:

  • A section of A1173 Manby Road – part length from the junction roundabout of MANBY ROAD ROUNDABOUT heading in a south easterly direction to the property of A P M COMMERCIALS.

c) that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to travel along the length of highway detailed in (a) above, at a speed in excess of 30mph.

d) to revoke any historic Speed Limit Orders (SLOs) which relate to the below section of highway:

  • A section of A1173 Manby Road – part length from the junction roundabout of MANBY ROAD ROUNDABOUT heading in a south easterly direction to the property of A P M COMMERCIALS.

(For the avoidance of doubt any previous SLOs in place along the above length of road shall be revoked and the affected section reverted to a 30mph Speed Limit by virtue of it being a Restricted Road, in accordance with Section 82 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984).

e) that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to travel along the length of Restricted Road detailed in (c) above, at a speed in excess of 30mph.

This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by O’Connors LTD. These works are detailed as utility works as a new connection will be installed.

The Order will come into operation on Monday, 19 February 2024, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Tuesday, 30 April 2024. Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.

The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
