NELC CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING SCHEME, VARIOUS LOCATIONS (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 24-083) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, pedestrian or cycle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highways:

These works are due to take place from the 30th September 2024 for 3 nights

  • CHANTRY LANE- Part length from the junction of CARTERGATE heading in a north westerly direction to the junction of EARL STREET, for a distance of 60 metres.

Alternative route: Cartergate, Lord Street, Earl Street (reverse route applies)

  • CHANTRY LANE – Part length from the junction of VEAL STREET heading in a north westerly direction to the junction of RIPON STREET, for a distance of 65 metres.

Alternative route: Veal Street, Lord Street, Ripon Street (reverse route applies)

These works are due to take place from the 03rd October 2024 for 2 nights.

  • PILGRIM AVENUE – Part length from the junction of TALBOT ROAD heading in a south westerly direction to the junction of CARVER ROAD, for a distance of 135 metres.

Alternative route: Worsley Road, Pelham Road, Margaret Street, Pelham Avenue (reverse route applies.

These works are due to take place from the 7th October 2024 for 4 nights.

  • A1098 ISSAC’S HILL – Full extent from the roundabout junction of ISSAC’S HILL heading in a south westerly direction to the junction of B1374 ST PETER’S AVENUE, for a distance of 180 metres.

Alternative route: A1098 High Street, A1098 Alexandra Road, A1098 High Cliff Road, A1098 Kingsway, A1098 Queens Parade, A1098 Taylors Avenue, Trinity Road, Beacon Avenue, A46 Clee Road (reverse route applies)

This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by NELC. These works are detailed as the NELC carriageway resurfacing scheme.

The Order will come into operation on Monday, 30 September 2024, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Wednesday, 9 October 2024. Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.

The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
