FORTY Easter eggs have been donated to local vulnerable people by supermarket, Morrisons.

For the second year in a row, Morrisons on Laceby Road, Grimsby, has donated chocolate eggs to children living in the care of the Council.

Last year, the supermarket offered over twenty eggs to those young people living in Children’s Homes around North East Lincolnshire, and to those 16 and 17 years olds living in supported accommodation.

Staff working in the Council’s Children’s Services made arrangements to distribute the eggs over the Easter period.

A spokesperson for North East Lincolnshire Council’s Children’s Services, said:

“Our children will be overjoyed by this gift. It might seem like a really simple thing, but it means a great deal to the children”

Morrisons Community Champion, Theresa Horner, said:

“We’re really pleased to once again be supporting our local children and young people with this donation.

“Each year Morrisons make charitable donations to support fantastic causes, and I’d like to thank our colleagues and customers for continuing to make this possible.”

The donation was made ahead of the Easter weekend.
