General

Vegetation clearance and hedge trimming works will be taking place on the A1173 Kings Road between Pelham Road and Kiln Lane.

Works will take place from Saturday 13 February to Tuesday 16 February under temporary traffic lights between 7:30am and 6pm.

The clearance will allow for preparation and surveying works to be carried out as part of the Cycle Superhighway scheme.

It was announced last month that the council has been awarded £2.2m of Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership (GLLEP) funding to construct a new Cycle Superhighway from Grimsby to Immingham.

The new cycleway will be constructed in three locations:

  • Part of Hobson Way, Immingham
  • A180 Westgate roundabout to Lockhill roundabout, Grimsby
  • A1173 Immingham to Stallingborough

The vegetation clearance and hedge trimming works will be carried out where the A1173 Immingham to Stallingborough route will be constructed.

Following this, surveying works will take place from 9 March for two weeks and will include topographical and utilities surveys, but traffic management will not be required.
