Household rubbish and recycling

Almost every household has three different coloured 240L or 180L wheelie bins for household waste and recycling. Household waste is collected fortnightly and recycling bins are emptied every four weeks.

Please put your bins (or recycling boxes, if you still use them) outside your property or at the agreed collection point before 7am on your collection day.

Extra rubbish

If you put extra rubbish out with your bin it will not be collected. Crews will put any extra rubbish in your bin after emptying ready for your next collection. Filling your bin and being unable to close the lid may result in your bin being missed.

You can get rid of extra rubbish and recycling at the recycling centres (the tips) in Grimsby or Immingham. If you just have extra household recycling you can visit your nearest recycling point.
