We know potholes can be frustrating and can affect journeys for drivers, cyclists and other road users. To help keep residents informed, we’ve listed the pothole repairs completed across North East Lincolnshire during the past week.
The Council adopts a “Right First Time” approach to its road and pothole repairs. This means that the most appropriate repair method is chosen to deliver a long-term, cost-effective and sustainable solution.
A range of repair techniques is used depending on the type, size and condition of the defect, including:
Road repair technology, which heats and recycles the existing road surface in situ, reducing waste and minimising the need for new materials
More traditional methods, where the damaged section of road or footpath is excavated and replaced with new material to provide a long-lasting repair
By applying the right treatment to each defect, the Council aims to maximise the lifespan of repairs, minimise disruption to road users and deliver the best possible value for residents.
