Building control team
The Building Control Team work with home owners, businesses, landlords, builders, architects, developers, planners and engineers to ensure buildings are safe, efficient and healthy and in compliance with the Building Regulations.
In North East Lincolnshire, the Building Control Team ensures building work complies with the Building Regulations. Most development work is subject to the Building Regulations, if in doubt, it is a good idea to check to make sure you are not breaking the law by altering your property without approval.
Examples of building work applicable to the Building Regulations are:
- a new dwelling
- a new office block
- an extension
- internal alterations
- replacement windows
- a re-roof
- change of use
- conversions
Local Authority Building Control (LABC)
