Skip It is returning to a site near you!
From microwaves to chairs – residents will be able to get rid of all sorts of rubbish completely free. It aims to help those who may struggle to get to the tip by providing a temporary disposal site for the day and help people learn how doing their bit can make for a better North East Lincolnshire.

These temporary sites will be up and running from 8.30am to 3pm in different locations in the coming months.

How to get rid of your waste correctly
Everyone has rubbish they want to get rid of, but it’s important to make sure it disposed of in the right way. Here are a few things to think about next time your getting rid of extra waste:
Could you take it to the tip?
North East Lincolnshire has a tip in Grimsby and Immingham that accept a range of items to help you throw away your unwanted items. For more information, visit Community Recycling Centres.
Could you use the bulky waste service?
If you’ve got rubbish that is too big to take the tip or you can’t get there yourself – why not use the bulky waste service? For more information and to book a slot, visit Bulky Waste.
What to do if you spot fly-tipping?
Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of waste on to land. It is a criminal offence and can result in a large fine or prosecution for repeat offending. Make sure that if you spot it to report it by visiting Fly-tipping.
Have you checked their waste carrier licence?
Use a licensed waste carrier to remove your waste. If an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is. If your waste is dumped illegally, you could be fined. Always check that the person/company has a licence by visiting the Waste Carriers, Brokers and Dealers register.
