Pay your Council Tax
There are a few ways you can pay your Council Tax. You can check your own account and payments online, by using our Council Tax balance online service.
Direct debit
Direct debit is the easiest way to pay your council tax. To set up a direct debit you can either:
- phone us on 0300 3030164 and select option 5 – To do this you need to be the bank account holder and the bill must be in your name
- print and complete the Direct debit form (PDF, 199KB) and either send it by post to the address on the form or email it to [email protected]
Direct debit payments can be made on the 1st, 8th, 15th or 22nd of the month. Payments are normally made over 10 months from April to the following January. You can request these payments to be spread over 12 months when you apply or by contacting us by email or phone. Payments made by direct debit are protected by the Direct debit guarantee .
Pay online
To pay Council Tax online complete the Council Tax payment form.
You will need your account reference number and debit or credit card details.
